We had a wonderful stay just outside Shrewsbury. The Dairy was an impressively converted barn with ample parking – we had four cars between us. The location was peaceful with easy access to local attractions and amenities. The layout of the accommodation has been well considered providing good sized bedrooms and bathrooms. The dairy is very good value for money for its size and setting. All beds were very comfortable and bathrooms clean. The kitchen was extremely well equipped for eight adults with plenty of crockery, cutlery and cooking equipment – excellent chopping boards! The bar stools positioned at the kitchen island enhanced the atmosphere when preparing evening meals, allowing everyone to participate and interact comfortably. An additional armchair would have been appreciated in the lounge area as there is only sufficient comfortable seating for seven. The provision of a beanbag as the eighth seat is not so good when only adults are staying. To note; we had primarily chosen The Dairy because one of the bedrooms with ensuite was on the ground floor. Our week away was to celebrate my mothers 83rd birthday and due to her mobility, we needed her bedroom to be on the ground floor. The Diary fulfilled this requirement; however, this room has a sliding door for the bathroom which was too heavy for my mother to move. It was too difficult for me too, a very heavy door to push. This room is also exposed to the quadrangle due to the location of the full-length window, with no curtain, in the hall to the front of the property. The window looked directly into this bedroom. As a result, the bedroom lacked privacy and could be somewhat unsettling. Installing a curtain would effectively address this concern for evenings and a voile would help during the day. I mention this to those who are also looking for ground floor accommodation for an elderly relative because for others more able, this would probably pose no issue. The owners were extremely attentive and approachable; we had a small issue on the first day regarding the bathroom towel rails. This was resolved during that initial morning by a personal visit from the owner who was very helpful and friendly.Overall, we would recommend The Dairy as a very pleasant and good value option for accommodation whilst visiting beautiful Shropshire.

We had a fantastic stay at this barn. The place was spotless when we arrived and clearly very well looked after. The house had great facilities with everything we needed, making our stay really comfortable and easy. It’s a lovely space that combines charm with practicality, and we really appreciated how clean and well-equipped it was. We’d definitely recommend it and would happily stay again
