About this property
Great Haywood 1.9 miles. This fabulous, Grade-II listed lodge lies in the village of Ingestre in the heart of Staffordshire. Boasting original features whilst being within driving distance of many local attractions, Chetwydn Lodge is a magnificent escape for a group of eight and their two canine companions. Park up in the off-road parking area and head through the grand front door into the open-plan living space, immediately noticing the beams, tiled floor and vaulted ceiling. Many of the furnishings have actually been featured in films such as ‘Anna and the King’, ‘Women in Love’ and ‘Sense and Sensibility’. A mezzanine-style sitting area overlooks the living space and offers additional seating for kicking back with a good book. There are four beautiful bedrooms to settle down in, with the master situated upstairs, hosting a super king-size bed and en-suite bathroom, whilst there are three double bedrooms downstairs, one of which offers an en-suite bathroom. Great Haywood is a lovely village in Staffordshire, England. The village gives access to a range of pubs and restaurants for some fine dining opportunities, as well as some shops and supermarkets for picking up all the necessary ingredients for an evening meal. Situated just a few miles away is the bustling town centre of Stafford, which offers a larger number of amenities. The Grade II listed Stafford Castle and Ancient High House museum are well-worth the trip to discover fascinating local history. Popular attractions continue in the Cannock Chase aonb, rich with trails for walking, cycling, hiking and even mountain biking, whilst the nearby Chasewater is ideal for a range of watersports including sailing, fishing and waterskiing. Make sure you visit Go Ape Cannock which is an adventure seekers haven for its thrilling zip wires, treetop adventures and segways, something the whole family can enjoy.
