A separate, well-equipped kitchen provides everything you need for a comfortable stay, while a double bedroom, twin room and a modern shower room make this an ideal choice for couples, friends or families. Outside, a private enclosed garden overlooks the surrounding farmland, giving you a front-row seat to the ever-changing rural landscape. Dogs are very welcome, and the enclosed space makes it a great option for four-legged guests too.

Step straight from the door into miles of country footpaths, riverside trails and woodland walks, with opportunities to spot local wildlife along the way. A little further afield, Cannock Chase Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty provides fantastic walking, cycling and horse-riding routes, as well as Go Ape for thrill-seekers and a choice of picnic spots among the forest. The National Memorial Arboretum, just a few miles away, offers a peaceful and beautifully landscaped place to visit, while Shugborough Estate provides a fascinating day out with its historic mansion, gardens and parkland.

The Cart Shed provided an ideal base for our needs in beautiful countryside. The farm driveway up to the property was in a poor state of repair with craters which would fill with rain water, fortunately for us it was dry. If you had a sports model vehicle then it wouldn't negotiate this drive! I was very worried for my cars suspension. The windows throughout the property needed a good clean inside and out. The grass in the garden was at least 6 inches high and was generally in need of the patio being weeded. There was a very large pile of dog poo near the steps on the lawn. I appreciate that this is located on a working farm and they are busy with the animals, and of course farms attract flies which were the main cause of the dirty windows. The furnishings were very comfortable and the owner had thoughtfully provided towels, blankets, dog bowl and lead for the canine companions. Despite these minor criticisms I would not hesitate to return in the hope the rough driveway has been remedied.

This is a comfortable, fully modernised cottage with a great layout and large enclosed garden for the dog. Situated at the end of a long single track road and a short length of gravel track it is off the beaten track, surrounded by lots of footpaths amongst the farms and a downhill 2 mile stroll to the pub at Wolseley Bridge. If you want peace and quiet in a rural location then this is the place for you. We did lots of walks on Cannock chase which is a much underrated AoNB and Shugborough Hall and Litchfield (Cathedral) are close by. The cottage has a large kitchen, bathroom with powerful shower and 2 Bedrooms and one double. The lounge area is comfortable with a large Freeview TV and the WiFi is good. Hardwood floors throughout. Plenty of room for 2 adults and a dog.
