An outstanding, beautifully refurbished, detached cottage set in the quiet, rural hamlet of Moneystone in Staffordshire. This magnificent Moneystone cottage provides spacious yet cosy accommodation, an ideal retreat for couples or small families wishing to explore the delights of Staffordshire. There are three wonderful bedrooms at this Moneystone cottage, including a king-size double and a 4 foot double room, both with Jack-and-Jill access to a shower room. A pod which is located in the back garden within a few metres of the back door and includes twin beds or a king-size made upon request.
There is a further ground floor shower room, which also houses the washing machine and a tumble dryer. Prepare delicious meals in the well-equipped kitchen and sit down to enjoy family meals in the dining room, featuring a Rayburn range for extra warmth on those chilly winter evenings. Relax and unwind by the warming woodburning stove in the sitting room and enjoy a film or a family game night. Moneystone lies just south of the Peak District National Park, and the hamlet is surrounded by walking trails along country lanes, through valleys and over hills. Overlooking the Churnet Valley, this is a lovely spot for getting out and about, and cyclists have a choice of two former railway routes which now offer picturesque rides through lovely countryside. Amenities can be found in the nearby market towns of Ashbourne and Leek, while those who fancy a wilder day out will enjoy Alton Towers theme park, just a few miles away.

Very well equipped and comfortable. Very dog friendly, large garden and paddock, very short walk to lovely woods.

Lots of outdoor seating which was great. The beds were extremely comfortable, as were the sofas. We struggled with the microwave as it was mounted on the wall at a difficult angle to reach and there were no Pyrex dishes to use in it (if there was we couldnât find them) There were plenty of pans and ample plates etc . All in all a wonderful break.

Enclosed garden and paddock for the dogs. Books, games, toys for the grandchildren. Landlady very responsive to any queries during stay.
