Guests that stayed at this property said

Guests consistently commend the property for its spotlessness and high standards of cleanliness. One review expressed disappointment, but this appears to be an isolated incident in contrast to the overall positive feedback.

The location is celebrated for its seclusion, peacefulness, and proximity to local attractions. The natural surroundings and wildlife contribute to the serene atmosphere, making it an ideal retreat.

The Bothy is frequently described as homely, warm, and comfortable, with a particularly comfortable bed and cosy environment. The private garden and the overall tranquillity of the cottage contribute to the comfort experienced by guests.

Facilities are reported to be very well-equipped, with a special mention of the kitchen's adequacy. The property is maintained to a high standard, with only a minor suggestion for a shower shelf and a higher armchair.

The hosts' thoughtfulness is evident through the warm welcomes and the provision of welcome packs, which include local produce and essentials. While these gifts are greatly appreciated by guests, it is noted that such gestures, though common, are at the discretion of the hosts.

A higher arm chair for us oldies - the sofas were very low. Also a shelf in the shower for shampoo, soap etc. we had to put such toiletries on the floor of the shower. The location was perfect with peace and beauty all around but with lots to see and do not many miles away.

It was totally secluded and peaceful, immaculately clean and beautifully decorated throughout with such attention to detail making it so welcoming and very comfortable. We loved the private garden at The Bothy, perfect for playing football, hide & seek and doing an Easter egg hunt during the Easter holidays and the gardens surrounding Meeson Hall were a wonderful addition to explore. I loved being able to sit outside under the long wooden porch overlooking the back garden with a cup of tea even if it was raining. The lovely touch of the welcome pack with delicious Meeson Hall homemade jam, bread, eggs and milk definitely made this one of the best places we have stayed. And not forgetting to thank the owners, Mark and Adrian who were such wonderful hosts, they have the perfect combination of being friendly and approachable whenever you needed them without being intrusive which not all hosts achieve in my experience. Thank you, it really was the perfect place to spend our Easter holidays and experience Ironbridge down the road. I couldn't recommend it highly enough. We can't wait to visit again.

Very peaceful with all we needed for a relaxing break and within a short drive of lots to do. Beds are comfy and kitchen equipped for cooking decent sized meals. It was a little cold to enjoy the outdoor seating area so we will have to come back when it's warmer to enjoy that.
