On the edge of the small village of Bayton you’ll find Broad Meadows Farmhouse. Once the principal farmhouse on the local Shakenhurst Estate, the property has been renovated to a very high standard, keeping all the charm and character of the original Queen Anne building, with wooden beams and lattice windows, but adding lots of modern amenities too. This stunning property is set in the beautiful, unspoilt countryside of the Worcestershire and Shropshire border.
There’s plenty of space throughout the property for a large group of you to relax and unwind. The little ones might want to make a space of their own in the snug, with its sofa, bean bags and smart television, for instance, while the open plan kitchen and dining area has a dining table that seats twelve, as well as large french doors that let the light flood in. The super king size bedrooms all have zip link beds that can be converted to twin beds should you wish.
Perhaps the most unique feature of Broad Meadows Farmhouse is its amazing outdoor facilities, including an outdoor dining area with its bespoke resin 12 seater table with a fire pit in the centre; along with the hot tub and garden seating area, all integrated to make the most of the stunning views. There is even a tree house observation area for the young at heart!
This booking option allows guests access to the ground and first floor rooms only. Larger groups of up to 12 guests can book Broad Meadows Farmhouse (12 Guests please see separate listing) which gives guests access to the entire house with a further two en-suite bedrooms on the second floor.

A curates egg of a property. Its a lovely old house, beautiful setting and attractively maintained gardens with an excellent range of facilities i.e hot tub ,firepit, bbq although the weather meant we only used the tub. The property is comfortable and generally well equipped. The bedrooms are spacious,, beds comfortable but a bit lumpy, but cupboard and drawer space for clothes was limited in some rooms. The bathrooms, shower water pressure and temperature, often a bugbear in larger properties, were excellent. It is an old house but even allowing for its age it is a bit worn around the edges and in need of some t.l.c. There are some specific issues; the kitchen skylight leaked in heavy rain onto kitchen worksurfaces; some of the bedroom windows don't fully close and again there was some water ingress from the heavy rain; the ovens need replacing being very slow to reach temperature-are the fans even working; a light fitting in one of the bathrooms dropped; a kitchen window blind is held up with a knife; there are not enough teaspoons and a few more mugs would be good; the absence of a visitors comments book, maps and leaflets of local attractions is very odd. We enjoyed our time at Broad Meadows but I felt it it was an expensive stay.

The house and its situation is so lovely. Definitely would not tire of the view! Having en-suites in all bedrooms is a definite plus. The facilities like the hot tub and all the outside space was lovely. Beds were all comfortable and everything was clean.
