Beautiful Accomodation in an outstanding location.The cottage is well appointed with everything you could need for a great stay.The track to the cottage is an adventure and not for the faint hearted 😂.The only thing that let the Accomodation down was the very mouldy sealant in the bathrooms.

This place is absolutely beautiful — so peaceful and tranquil.The LodgeThe lodge itself is incredibly spacious. There were four of us, but it sleeps eight, and even at full capacity I can’t imagine it feeling cramped. The rooms are cosy and nicely furnished, and the kitchen has everything you could possibly need. The welcome extras were a lovely touch too.OutsideAs others have mentioned, the drive up is a little bumpy, but after chatting with the owner, Dave, we learned it’s being repaired next month. It really wasn’t an issue for us — we just took it slowly. The upside of that long off‑road track is the total peace and quiet being so far from the road.Mornings were spent outside with a coffee watching the sheep wander by, and evenings were either in the hot tub watching the sunset or gathered around the firepit. Pure bliss.The AreaThere are some lovely places to visit nearby, including Tenbury Wells and Ludlow. We also ventured further afield to The Farmer’s Dog (Jeremy Clarkson’s pub) and Diddly Squat Farm — both around 1 hour 45 minutes away.About an hour’s drive from the lodge is Hoo Zoo, where we did the lemur and meerkat feeding experience through a Wowcher offer. It was honestly the best animal experience we’ve ever done. You get to sit with these amazing animals as they climb onto your knee and take food from your hand — highly recommended. The zoo also has a great dinosaur trail, but be warned: it’s very muddy, so wellies are essential.OverallWe’ve had an amazing week at Dower Lodge. Our only disappointment is that we wanted to come back in September… but it’s already fully booked!

Dower House was beautiful, the perfect remote setting for our family getaway. Very clean and modern, amazing outdoor space for the kids to play, they loved toasting marshmallows over the fire pit.Dave and Nikki were great hosts, their communication before arriving was brilliant and the welcome pack was such a special touch that got our stay off the best start.
