We've just returned from a fabulous weekend at Dower House Lodge to celebrate my mums 60th birthday. Dave and Nikki were so helpful and kind, we really appreciated their welcome gifts and helpfulness/responsiveness when we needed their assistance (namely a spare key as we managed to loose the first one down the sofa!).The Lodge itself was so spacious, it fit our group of 7 perfectly, my 4 year old niece absolutely loved the play area outside and the games provided. The adults all loved the high spec hot tub and stunning views from the top garden, we particularly enjoyed being huddled around a night time fire on our last night which Dave and Nikki kindly provided the provisions for (if you run out of kindling etc you can purchase again locally).We had a tesco food delivery to the lodge which was very easy, the local area also offers a whole host of different activities and food options (we particularly enjoyed Ludlow Castle and Croft Castle). You are a little limited for take out options that deliver but Tenbury Wells is only a short drive away for collection. The drive way is long and parts of it are very bumpy, you will be fine as long as you take it very slowly at those points. You are in the countryside so expect you may have a few insects that make their way in, particularly in our case as the weather was so hot we had to have windows and patio doors open most of the time. Overall it was a wonderful, relaxing stay, we would love to return in the future and would absolutely recommend it to others. Recommendations: common sense ones - bring some flip flops for walking to and from the hot tub and an extra towel for post hot tub.

When we arrived on the Friday we were told that the lodge hot tub had a fault and unfortunately could not be used during our stay. But Dave and Nikki went above and beyond sorting out another hot tub at a close property, allowing us to use that. In the meanwhile the lodge hot tub came to temperature and we used that after all the following night, but still had the offer to use the alternative! He kept us up to date via text and a very enjoyable stay was had by all. The lodge is beautiful and set in an idyllic peaceful setting, highly recommended.
