Perched besides a peaceful lake near the picturesque village of Clifton upon Teme, is this delightful, detached property, Gander Pod. Enjoying views of the unspoilt countryside from its private balcony, boasting a hot tub, barbecue and furniture, this lovely dwelling is an ideal romantic hideaway. Enter through the patio doors to discover the studio-style layout, where you can look forward to cooking up tasty treats in the electric oven and there is an electric hob for a traditional, English breakfast in the morning. Settle down at the dining table to tuck-into heart-warming meals and toast to a wonderful escape to the countryside. If you desire a home-cooked meal prepared by someone else, you can take a short stroll to The Lion pub for a relaxed atmosphere in a Grade II building. In the evening, snuggle up on the sofa and flicker through the TV to find an enjoyable film for a cosy night in the pod. When sleep calls, a double bed awaits and you can prepare for a night's embrace in the shower room, with a walk-in shower and heated towel rail to keep your towel warm whilst you savour a refreshing rinse. For the keen anglers in your party, take advantage of the expansive on-site lake where you can catch carp with landing nets and carp cradles kindly supplied by the owner; you can do this off the decking or off the lakeside. The picturesque village of Clifton upon Teme is a superb example of an Anglo-Saxon Settlement and overlooks the River Teme, which is where the name originated from. Clifton upon Teme is home to a village hall, parish church, two traditional pubs and a village store. The village is stepped in history with a plethora of Grade I and Grade II listed buildings. Ideally located on the outskirts of the lively city of Worcester, for a great variety of attractions and amenities to explore.

Very clean and beautiful surroundings. The pub in the village was very extremely dog friendly and very welcoming. The pod was warm and has everything you need! I would just like to make the owners aware that when the shower is on water seems to get over the top of the shower screen and made the back of the toilet wet which made all the towels wet. I couldnât work out where it was coming from though. We ended up with a little puddle on the floor too.

It had everything we needed and will be back. Suggestions from us to make it even better is a little freezer, coat hooks and a clothes horse. Just to let you know the bottle opener is broken.

Lovely to be so close to the wildlife and watch the geese drop in for the evening. A few things that would make it even better - a toaster (not essential but nice to have), a better sofa (very uncomfortable). Also, the pod had been cleaned but wasnât immaculate, particularly the kitchen. Overall, very happy and would definitely return, possible a cabin next time. Thank you!
