A porch with a light, a lake , roses around the door and horses in the field. We were fortunate to stay, June 2023. Perfect weather and just the two of us and even though the 2nd sitting room was out of commission we had acres of space and a wonderful time. All the niggles and negatives now and reasons to forgive them. Kedges farm does not exist in splendid isolation, which you may feel is the case from the photographs. It is part of a small hamlet of 3 other large barn conversions . All the houses are beautiful, peaceful and just so, (expensive looking)..You are soon reconciled. Parts of your brain , on entering and first inspection, will say...ooh that looks a bit rough... Trust me you will grow to reject most of your criticisms and love the house for all of its foibles.. For instance. The feeling of walking barefoot across the uneven disjointed floorboards on the landing....Find and forgive is the feeling this house instills.Be adaptable, change your routine afterall it a holiday. Lacking a tv,?But with some ingenuity at home , we became happy with an ipad, on a stand on a chair in front of the fire... Its a 300 yr old house, listed with niggles. It gets party bookings (aaah!!! hearbreaker. Massive from Monmouth is in,so a contingency has to be built into the fixtures and fittings I guess). Equally, if everyrhing was the standard of the main bedroom ensuite and the new heating system chances are it would take it out of most peoples price range. £2000 + per week no doubt. A work in progress then. Yes but it is beautiful for what it is. We both agreed we could be tempted by this house and spend our days elevating and tinkering, games room into a gym or painters studio, crack open the third floor, even install one of those new fangled Telly Visions people are talking about.Thats a hint from the hinterland bye the bye as is a convex mirror on the main road as both directions exiting are...blindy-bendy. All the good stuff now . Simple. Its GREAT....Space, 6 or 7 ways in and out of the house. It looks like a chocolate box. Its a romantic getaway. The front patio gets the sun all day. Tall white rose bushes, symmetry, then a lawn then a pond, then a field with 2 ponies, 1 that looks like Claudia Winkleman, the other a young Sinatra ( notice the blue eyes, and as Ava Gardner commented, hes only 298lbs soaking wet and its all C%£K ). It is in a perfect location everything is within easy reach, straight run to Worcester, hillclimbing events at Shelsey Walsh, English heritage sites..Malvern and Morgan cars, a Steam Railway, and towns like Ludlow and even Ludlow itself, which is even more like Ludlow than the towns that are like...... We stayed from the 2nd - 9th June and loved every minute of every sun glorious day. I found myself talking to the house and its timbers, trying to feel as ancient and dignified as I imagined them to be but one week is just a speck in the life of this house hardly time for a conversation so settled into the illusion, We both felt like Ma and Pa Larkin, minus the kids, and for want of a better word... it was... Perfick!

Plenty of space and all very comfortable. A great week of weather too which helps immensely. Not entirely sure about the open plan main bedroom and bathroom but that may just be my own opinion

From the sweeping, tree-lined drive, to the gorgeous big kitchen... two dining rooms, two living rooms, the garden that backs on to a field full of friendly ponies... everything about this place is wonderful and I could not recommend it more. Considering the size of the place it was very cosy and warm - special mention for the underfloor heating in the room with the pool table!
