About this property

Long Acres Lodge is a stunningly-presented holiday lodge located on the edge of the medieval market town of Evesham. A short drive from the famous, picturesque Cotswolds, this lovely property welcomes four guests - perfect for families and friends wanting a quiet getaway. After enjoying some alfresco dining in the sun on the patio, come back inside and snuggle up on the sofas for a family movie night. Make use of the flame-effect electric fire when the temperature grows colder. When sleep calls, you'll choose from two bedrooms, a double with its own en-suite shower room or a twin. Wake up in the morning and open up the patio doors to let in the fresh air while your group's designated cook whips up a breakfast feast. Tuck into your meal around the dining table or out on the decking with a steaming cup of tea. Visit the beautiful town of Evesham and have a picnic in Abbey Park where you'll be able to see the Evesham Bell Tower, catch an opera performance or a play at Regal Cinema Evesham and have a delicious dinner at

Orto Lounge. Take a short drive to Broadway, dubbed the Cotswolds 'capital' and its most picturesque village, and have a mouthwatering pub meal at The Lygon Arms or a lighter afternoon tea at Tisanes Tea Rooms. For a taste of history, head to see the exhibitions at Broadway Tower. Being so close to the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, you'll be spoilt for choice of beautiful villages for day trips. Enjoy all of this and more with a stay at Long Acres Lodge.

Evenjobb, or Evancoyd, is a small rural village which is situated amidst picturesque countryside on the Powys/Herefordshire border, and stands practically on the famous Offa's Dyke Pathway. The beautiful Radnor Forest is close by and provides superb cycling and rambling opportunities. The historic town of Presteigne, known as The Gateway to Mid Wales, is only 5 miles away, and boasts the award-winning attraction 'The Judge's Lodgings' as well as a variety of pubs, restaurants and shops. It is also home to the Presteigne Festival of Music and the Arts which is held annually in August. From Kington you can set out on the Mortimer Trail and walk on Hergest Ridge, the inspiration for the beautiful music of both Elgar and Mike Oldfield. Visit the market town of Hay-on-Wye, often described as “the town of books”, the ancient city of Hereford with its impressive Norman cathedral, famous Mappa Mundi and Chained Library, as well as Britain's loveliest medieval town, Ludlow. This is a beautiful region of Britain perfect for exploring, relaxing or an exciting outdoor holiday.

It was comfortable and in a great location. The double bed was very comfortable. The site is relatively quiet despite its close proximity to a main road. Generally the lodge was clean although the cups, glasses and crockery needed a dishwasher clean before use as they weren’t up to standard and handles and surfaces were sticky and needed a further clean. Our check in was 40 minutes late as when we arrived the cleaners were still there and we were told that the last guests had “left it in a right mess!” which left us feeling a little apprehensive. The lodge does need mirrors in the bedrooms as there’s nowhere really to see to dry your hair and use straighteners other than the microwave glass. Despite the small issues would we stay here again? Yes!

The description of the lodge as being all electric cooking is incorrect, it is gas as shown in the photos. We had pretty much everything we needed for our stay, although a dustpan and brush would have been useful, wasn't sure if I should use the vacuum on that type of flooring. An iron would also have been useful as there is a washer/dryer. A very thoughtful addition is the air cooler/fans as having stayed in another of these lodges a couple of years ago they can get a little warm in summer. The double bed was very comfortable and we enjoyed our stay here.
