About this property

Springhead Cottage is a lovely 19th century property, overlooking the River Worth on the outskirts of Haworth. The well-kept cottage can sleep up to six guests, making it a wonderful setting for your next group getaway to West Yorkshire, within easy reach of Skipton and Hebden Bridge. You are greeted to the property by a driveway which leads to the front garden, where there is lawn with gorgeous plantings, while to the side of the house you'll find a patio with furniture to enjoy a spot of al fresco dining whilst looking out on to the picturesque river and forest views.

Stepping into the property there is a kitchen/diner, where you can prepare a picnic for your day out or gather round the table to toast to a wonderful holiday, or move into the sitting room where a woodburning stove warms up the room as you enjoy an evening in front of the TV with your loved ones. For more evening entertainment, make your way into the garage, which has been converted into a games room with a pool table, darts board, an at-home bar with mini fridge, a speaker and a TV, sure to keep you entertained for hours. When sleep is calling, make your way upstairs to discover three bedrooms, including a marvellous double benefitting from an en-suite shower room and a set of double doors that lead onto a balcony with furniture, where you can enjoy a morning coffee whilst admiring the river views.

You will also find a second double bedroom and a twin, which allows for flexible sleeping arrangements when the evening draws to a close, both of which share use of the family bathroom, where you can prepare for the day a head. A short walk takes you to the village of Haworth, its cobbled streets home to a variety of boutique shops, tea rooms, country pubs and restaurants, as well as gin and real ale bars. Once home to the famous Bronte sisters, who were inspired by the surrounding moorland to pen their novels, it is a village that time almost forgot, with its alleyways and cobbled streets creating a wonderful period atmosphere, all set against a framing backdrop of countryside and boasting the Bronte Memorial and the Bronte Parsonage Museum, as well as the Worth Valley Railway, an authentic steam railway which provides a lovely day out with a regular service to the old village of Oxenhope.

Also nearby, you will find the village of Oakworth with more shops, bars and restaurants, and the historic mill town of Keighley with its museums and elegant 17th century East Riddlesden Hall. Travel a little further afar for an action packed day out in Skipton, known as the Gateway to the Yorkshire Dales, with its beautiful castles and picturesque walking routes through the National Park, or the bustling city of Leeds which is thriving with bars. For a memorable trip to the West Yorkshire countryside, choose Springhead Cottage.

Everything was as described and more. We had 5 guys staying very comfortably and didn’t have one hiccup throughout our trip. The owner emailed before our stay and after to make sure all was ok which was a nice touch, on top of the welcome basket full of great food! Will definitely return one day in the future. 11/10

The helpful owners have thought of everything. Well equipped, modern kitchen/diner, cosy lounge and comfortable bedrooms. Thoroughly enjoyed evenings in the games room and bar. Our family, age range 22 to 77, loved this cottage and would highly recommend it.

The wildlife was so nice to watch, we saw 2 deer, pigs and ducks. The games room was our highlight of the stay, we had so much fun. Would definitely be going back.
