About this property
Silsden 2 miles. A fantastic stone-built, semi-detached barn conversion set on the owners small working farm, high above the Aire Valley, two miles from Silsden and six miles from Bolton Abbey. This lovely Dales cottage near Silsden offers impressive accommodation in a rural location, ideal for large family groups to get away from it all and enjoy a memorable holiday together. This Silsden cottage exudes elegance and country character, with modern touches like underfloor heating seamlessly combined with the many original features, including a stone floor, old apex beams and exposed stonework. The cosy, sociable living accommodation has an open plan design including a kitchen, dining area, sitting area with cosy woodburner and a spectacular turned staircase leading to the bedroom suites; a modern layout taking advantage of the spacious accommodation. Upstairs, the landing is beautifully lit with large Velux windows set into the ceiling. The five comfortable bedrooms in this Silsden cottage comprise three with fabulous en-suites, whilst the main bathroom includes a luxurious freestanding bath and separate shower cubicle. With wonderful walks from the doorstep leading through the nearby woods and across the fells, with many complete with lovely, long-distant views, this Yorkshire Dales cottage provides guests with rural living at its finest. Set between beautiful Bolton Abbey, with charming riverside walks and picnic areas, and historic Haworth, a short drive brings you to the popular market town of Skipton, which holds regular markets on its cobbled main street, offers relaxed boat trips along the canal, and is home a fascinating Norman castle well worth exploring. To the north lies Wharfedale, with the charming town of Grassington renowned for its traditional country pubs, shops and restaurants. This Silsden cottage is a lovely holiday home, perfect for family and friends to enjoy this scenic and much loved corner of the Yorkshire Dales.
