Guests say

Guests have had a delightful experience at The Mews, praising its spaciousness, well-equipped kitchen, and large garden. The host, Sarah, is commended for her welcoming and attentive nature. The property's location is appreciated for its tranquility and proximity to local attractions. While some minor cleanliness and maintenance issues are noted, the overall sentiment is highly positive, with many guests looking forward to returning.

Most guests found The Mews clean and comfortable. However, a few mentioned the need for a deeper clean and decluttering, as well as addressing some odours and outdoor furniture cleanliness. These issues seem to be exceptions rather than the rule.

The location is frequently praised for being peaceful yet conveniently close to beaches, towns, and wildlife. The property's setting in a lovely village adds to the charm and accessibility of local amenities and attractions.

The Mews is consistently described as spacious and comfortable, with ample room for large groups and families. Some guests suggested that the mattresses could be updated for enhanced comfort.

Facilities are generally well-regarded, with a well-stocked kitchen and large garden. Some reviews suggest improvements in the utility room and updates to certain amenities. The presence of electric car charging points is a modern touch.

Sarah's thoughtfulness is a highlight, with mentions of a warm welcome, starter items, and even a treasure hunt for children. While gifts are warmly received, they are personal gestures and not a guaranteed service.

Sarah the host contacted us before our stay to ensure we could find the property easily. The house had been decorated for Christmas with little touches in every room which was perfect for our annual Christmas Weekend away. The house is very spacious and had every you would need. The log fire was a great addition and kept the living room very toasty warm. We did not get to use the large garden due to the storm but I can see this would be a fantastic space in the summer months. The chocolate's and milk Sarah left as a welcome gift was a lovely touch. Would definitely look to return.

The cottage was perfect for our family celebration. We felt very comfortable and relaxed. Thank you so much to our host Sarah for thinking of everything that a large group might need or want for a lovely stay. Would definitely return to this fabulous accommodation.

The shared garden is great. It's massive and our kids really enjoyed it there. The owner has gone above and beyond with little details about the local area, she has created leaflets wuth useful informationand is easy to contactif you have any issues. If you are chatty then you will enjoy it here as the owner comes to the property a couple of times a day, to weed in the garden and check the bins and compost. The house itself is a great size however could use some updates. The bathrooms have a strong smell of damp, and the drains are a little backed up. The water pressure on the electric showers are poor. The mattresses could do with updating as they're not the most comfortable. Also there is a shared utility with an average sized washing machine for 4 cottages. As we had 5 mucky children, it meant we did quite a bit of washing. Potentially an industrial washer or more than one would be useful. Do to the weather there were a lot of flys. Not sure ifvthe compost bins added to this. We had a lovely time, but with some tweaks thus house could be amazing.
