This large detached house is surrounded by countryside and long walks, perfect for children, or for the dogs. The house has a large enclosed garden and then access to a further 2 acres of wildlife meadow.
Restored by the present owner to a high standard, Farrington House is perfect for that extra special holiday and provides exceedingly comfortable accommodation. There is plenty of room for larger families to have their own space with a seating area in the kitchen, a large living room and a reading area. For those chilly evenings, there are two wonderful wood burners to keep you warm and cosy.
The wonderful Yorkshire Wolds are on your doorstep with miles of walks across the undulating hills of the wolds, the inspiration to the artist David Hockney’s paintings. The Yorkshire Wolds are famous for the country pubs and market towns such as Driffield and Beverley, which have excellent market days, as well as being interesting towns to visit. For the those who enjoy the horse racing, Beverley Racecourse has some excellent meetings and you are only an hour away from the York meeting, one of the best racecourses in the country. The stately homes of Sledmere and Burton Agnes Hall are just a short drive away, both excellent places to visit with beautiful gardens and delightful cafès. Whether you want to visit the wolds, the East Coast or the North York Moors, Farrington House is the perfect base. Beach 7 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 1½ miles.

A lovely holiday cottage which has plenty of room for families or groups to enjoy. Nicely furnished and very comfortable as well as being nicely equipped. Beds are very comfortable with good quality linens although bath towels are small. There's everything you need in the kitchen with decent appliances and plenty of crockery to go around. Location is superbly peaceful and tranquil. A little remote, if you like to walk to a shop or pub, this may not be for you. There are plenty of book, magazines, board games and DVD's for poor weather days (HDMI cable missing from DVD player though so can't actually be used). There are areas of wear and tear which you might come to expect in a holiday home though large water stains on the living room ceiling and peeling paint in the kitchen do let it down somewhat. After the hot summer we have had, the dead pot plants and shrubs do not give a good first impression. A wonderful and generous welcome basket was waiting for our arrival and it was very much appreciated. Some thoughtful touches go a long way.

Amazing house very secluded which suited us Everything was provided, kitchen was perfect plenty of crockery cutlery and pans etc. Only complaint was towels too small and needs a new kettle and more garden furniture. Will visit it again as so much to see within 30 miles

What a great house, the photos don't do it justice. The outdoor area is huge and great for ball games with the kids. It's in a very rural location and it's very quiet which was perfect for us. The kitchen/living room is a great space and where we spent a lot of time. Plenty of room to prepare food, and pretty much everything you need. Nice selection of books and games, and plenty of space inside. Very well presented throughout and the bathroom facilities are excellent. We would definitely consider a return
