A ten minute walk brings you into the centre of this Victorian coastal town, with a good selection of independent shops, pubs and tea rooms. There are long, sandy beaches and a pretty promenade and ornamantal gardens to enjoy. Close is Hornsea Mere - a large, natural lake that offers water activities, whilst for a little retail therapy, there is Hornsea Freeport retail outlet. The surrounding area has much to offer the holiday maker, with the high, chalk cliffs at Bempton RSPB reserve, home to colonies of sea birds, the wonderful rolling countryside of the Yorkshire Wolds and stately homes and gardens, including Wassand Hall. A most delightful holiday property for the most discerning guests, at any time of the year.

Situated on the east coast is the seaside town of Hornsea. The Victorian resort plays host to a sandy beach and a promenade with well-kept gardens. The town centre houses a good variety of small shops, pubs and cafes. Close by is Hornsea Mere which offers sailing, fishing and boat trips. Alternatively, Wassand Hall and walled gardens is close by, providing a delightful leisurely stroll.
