This delightful terraced cottage is located in an enviable position in the centre of the picturesque village of Ingleton, overlooking the River Doe and in a prime spot to visit the Yorkshire Dales' Three Peaks. Set over three floors, the cottage caters for a variety of groups, with three inviting bedrooms on offer, including a double on the first floor while a king-size and a single with a pull-out stacker bed rest on the second floor, offering a flexible sleeping arrangement for all. There is also a family bathroom with a walk in power shower. The elegant open-plan living area is a wonderful space to chat amongst your group about the next day’s activities, enjoying home-cooked meals and watching TV in front of the snug woodburning stove.
To the rear, the decked balcony makes a wonderful feature, overlooking the river and providing the perfect spot to relax with a drink and take in the sights and sounds. The property is a short walk from the quaint village high street, where you will find traditional inns, independent shops and even a seasonal, open-air heated swimming pool! The surrounding area is a dream for lovers of the outdoors, from gentle strolls in the stunning nearby countryside to outdoor pursuits in the many majestic caves and waterfalls in the vicinity. For other amenities and a fine place to visit, the bustling market town of Settle is close by, offering an excellent array of pubs, restaurants and charming shops, as well as a supermarket.
When in the area the famous Settle-Carlisle Railway is not to be missed, winding its way through spectacular limestone scenery and over the Ribblehead Viaduct with spectacular views of the Three Peaks along the way. In one of the Yorkshire Dales' most popular villages and within a thirty-minute drive of the stunning Lake District, Bridge End Cottage makes for a great base for exploring all that this magnificent region has to offer.

Offering a wide range of shops, pubs and places to eat, the winding streets of this pretty village all converge on a central market place. Very comfortable and the photos don't do it justice. We were delighted with the fact that it had such a large balcony and a small garden attached and a private driveway. The directions were spot on although next door no longer has a B and B sign up and looks like it hasn't operated as a guest house for some time. The new owners/renovators were only working there on the weekend and were friendly and respectful.... didn't start work very early. They were only doing work outside while we were there. The only things I couldn't find ( feel bad even to mention them) were a washing basket and some cooking tongs. Otherwise a superb and comfortable stay. Large basement area would be handy for children to play and dogs to sleep ( baskets provided!) Lots of places to visit within easy car drives. Coop, cafes, pubs and other shops within easy walk from cottage and large Asda Express and garage on main road less than 5 minutes drive. Ingleton Evangelical church attended on Sunday was very welcoming.

The outside of the house looked lovely as there were lots of pots of flowers which made a beautiful outdoor display. Inside, the house is over 4 floors, so the downstairs area is quite small but not a problem if you are out and about most of the time, which we were. The house is well equipped and had everything we needed. The only very minor issues we encountered were that the living room shelves/mirror frame were quite dusty and we also couldn't find any spare bin liners. There was also water gathering in the bottom of the fridge. We really appreciated the biscuits, sweets, milk, and dog treats that were left for us and the wood burner starter pack. We have a coal fire at home so took extra wood but it would be useful for others if there was information left on where to get extra logs, We used LOGS, LOGS, LOGS, which is at a farm just outside the village, when our supplies ran out There is so much to do around Ingleton, if you like walking, caving and climbing and the Lake District is good for a day trip. This house makes a great base for a holiday in the Yorkshire Dales.

It was cosy and warm. The welcome pack was superb. It was everything we hoped for.
