Hawes (1 mile) is a hub of life with tearooms serving up tasty treats, a weekly market and plenty of other places to visit including access to the picturesque Pennine Way walking trail.

The cheese lovers of the family will delight in the opportunity to visit the Wensleydale Creamery (less than half a mile) to see the process and sample the goods in the shop and cafe. Head off on a hunt for the local waterfalls of Aisgill Falls and Gayle Falls which lie a mile apart on a beautiful walking trail spanning just over 8 miles, with Cotter Force 3 miles into the route. Alternatively, head to Hawes (1 mile) and you can take the circular walking trail to Stags Fell itself, visiting Hardraw Force, England’s highest waterfall on the way for an active adventure.
