Heating was good with extra electric heater if needed (it wasn't but nice to know). Beds and furniture nice and comfortable. Constant hot water. Large bedrooms (but tiny cupboards). 2 hairdryers. Well equipped kitchen with modern touch controls. We were worried about being on a caravan site but house is set back and did not notice any noise. People walk past with dogs on way to exercise field but that was OK.What was awful was the fire door between kitchen and dining/ living area. Maybe it's a new regulation but was so difficult to manoeuvre in and out carrying plates etc. Was impossible to prop open - so heavy it just pushed chair along in front of it. The chance of a fire must be vanishingly small - the cooker bleeps if you lay anything on it while it's hot so really not necessary. The other negative is that it is actually 10 - 15 minutes walk into Hawes unless you are Usain Bolt so you really need to take the car for shopping especially that last little trek uphill if something heavy. Do not rely on on-site shop - VERY limited. Many eateries but they mostly close around 8 so get in early. Many lovely, lovely walks from door. Do try the fascinating Mosaic Trail. It's brilliant and you can break it down into manageable sections. Such fun.
