Baille Hill House is located in an enviable position overlooking York’s famous medieval walls, and only a stone’s throw away from the city centre. Set over three floors and boasting private off-street parking for two cars, this contemporary holiday home is just perfect for a large group looking to enjoy this historic and vibrant city. Inside, Baille Hill House has been recently refurbished throughout, giving it a warm and welcoming feel.
From the rear of the property, guests enter directly into the large open-plan kitchen/dining room, where full-height windows and doors flood the room with natural light. The kitchen is well planned with lots of preparation space and benefits from quartz worktops and a range of appliances. The dining table can comfortably sit ten and is ideal for family gatherings to enjoy a glass of wine whilst planning the next day’s activities or partaking in a homemade meal. The spacious layout means you can enjoy a natter whilst watching others do the cooking! There is also outdoor seating to the rear of the property accessed from the kitchen. A kingsize bedroom with views to the city walls and a shower room complete the ground floor accommodation.
The living room is located on the first floor and looks out to the rear of the property. Two sets of French doors lead onto a private balcony with outdoor seating, offering an ideal place to relax after a busy day. On this floor, there is an additional kingsize room, a single room and a second shower room. Both bedrooms have views over the city walls. Up on the second floor, there is both a twin room and a triple room, with a double and single bed. Both rooms are packed with character and have sloping ceilings. The house bathroom is also nestled up here.
Baille Hill House is well-placed for visiting some of the most famous visitor attractions in the city. York Minster, Jorvik, Clifford’s Tower and the National Railway Museum are only a few minutes’ walk away. With its winding cobbled streets, designer stores, independent shops, boutiques, cafés and restaurants York offers a unique experience. The house is also perfectly located for walks around the historic walls or along the riverside. ‘Bishy Road’ is only a minute away where an array of independent shops and restaurants can be found.

Baille Hill House is in an ideal position, being just outside York City Walls, meaning the main centre is only about a ten minute walk away. The property itself is comfortable, clean and well equipped and we have stayed here several times over the past few years.

Baille Hill house is a lovely house in a lovely area. It has everything you need for your stay. Having a wc/bathroom on every level was ideal. We walked into York centre every day, as it's not too far. We found a great hotel for a delicious roast only 4 minutes away! All my family loved it and we will definitely go back and stay there. If theres 10 of you I highly recommend this house.
