Alma House in Reeth is a well-regarded holiday cottage, praised for its spaciousness, comfort, and prime location. Guests appreciate the proximity to local amenities, the friendly village vibe, and the scenic walks accessible from the doorstep. The property is described as clean, cosy, and well-equipped, making it a popular choice for families and groups seeking a countryside retreat.
Most guests found Alma House to be clean and well-presented, with comfortable beds and fresh linen. However, a few noted areas for improvement, such as dust and cobwebs, suggesting occasional lapses in thoroughness.
The location is highly praised for its central position in Reeth, with easy access to local shops, pubs, and stunning countryside walks. The village green parking is also appreciated, despite a small charge.
Guests consistently report that the house is comfortable, with ample space, cosy furnishings, and a warm atmosphere. The presence of storage heaters and a log burner contribute to the comfort during colder months.
The property is well-equipped, but some guests mentioned issues with appliances and suggested updates to the kitchen utensils. The presence of a macerator system and limitations on the washing machine's spin cycle were noted as minor inconveniences.
While guests have mentioned complimentary items such as coffee pods and biscuits, there is not enough consistent information across reviews to assess the overall thoughtfulness in terms of gifts. Therefore, this score is set to null, and guests should note that such amenities are a pleasant addition but not guaranteed.

The property is very nice and the owner is easy to get in touch with. It could be made clearer that the front door is round the back with a blue door, not the one shown from the front on the Sykes main picture.
