This is a beautiful old and extremely spacious house in a stunning location. 17 of us (sleeps up to 18) in the same family, from various parts of the country met to help me celebrate my 70th birthday - no better way, I will never forget our 2 nights together. Ali went above and beyond to make our stay a wonderful time to remember, she is a fantastic host. The glorious weather was the icing on the cake.

We had a lovely 3 nights with 15 of us (9 adults and 8 children aged 7-15). There was more than enough space for everyone, with younger children able to run around and teens able to find their own space. Beautiful location with walks from house onto moors, and coast only a short drive away (we went to Runswick Bay on a warm sunny day for a swim and ice cream). The house is comfortable and relaxed- several people commented on the beds being very comfortable. We found we had everything we needed to cook and sit all 15 for dinner. We ordered a Sainsbury’s delivery for food to save going out to supermarket. Large fridge and space to prepare food, chat and eat in kitchen too. We had a fire in the evening and a BBQ on last night. Water and heating worked well. Housemartins nesting while we were there which were lovely to watch in evening. The house has a lot of character and charm. Would recommend for large get-together with friends or family.
