Guests appreciate the cottage's prime location, comfortable beds, and well-equipped kitchen. While parking can be challenging, the property's proximity to Whitby's centre is a highlight. Cleanliness is generally good, though some guests noted areas for improvement. The boatyard opposite presents occasional noise, but it doesn't detract significantly from the overall experience.
The property is mostly praised for its cleanliness, but a few guests mentioned dust and cobwebs, suggesting room for improvement in the cleaning routine.
The location is highly regarded for its convenience to Whitby's centre and attractions, despite some comments about parking difficulties and boatyard noise.
Comfort is well-received with guests enjoying comfortable beds and a cosy atmosphere, although one review mentioned a hard bed and another noted the need for better lighting for partially-sighted guests.
Facilities are generally good, with a well-equipped kitchen and modern amenities. However, some guests experienced issues with parking, key collection, and outdated TVs, indicating some areas need attention.
There is insufficient information to assess thoughtfulness as there are no consistent mentions of gifts or special touches that would indicate the level of consideration for guests' experiences.

Good location and only 5 mins walk to centre and good views of harbour. We did hear some banging and grinding from boat works yard opposite the cottage but it didnât really bother us. Parking can be a problem but luckily we got a spot the first evening near the cottage on main road and left the car there for the four days we were there, and used the bus service to visit Robin hoodâs bay and staithes which was a nice change from driving and only £2 each way. The only negative thing I have to say is the cleaning/dusting isnât being done properly and l think this is letting the place down which is a shame because everything else is good

Flat walk into town but further than listing suggests. The boatyard opposite did not cause undue disturbance at any time, and it was fascinating to watch a boat being built nearby. Only downside, this property needs a real deep clean as very dusty. Quality of furnishings good and a really comfy bed. Whitby as always a lovely place to visit, our happy place and would stay here again.

There were lots of dust and cobwebs eg the fire hearth had not been dusted, cobwebs on the living room ceiling etc. the fridge was turned up to max and it started to freeze all our food which I wasnât very happy about. We turned it down to 2 which resolved it. Plenty of hot water and the shower was great, kids loved the bath. Comfy beds. Good location. Absolute nightmare parking we had to use west cliff and carry everything down three times! Was a bit concerned we would run out of toilet roll but had enough (only 1 roll supplied). Would stay again just not in august/school holidays.
