Hope Cottage in Whitby receives glowing feedback for its excellent location, cosy atmosphere, and valuable off-street parking. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen, enclosed garden, and dog-friendly touches. The cottage is described as clean, comfortable, and full of character, with many visitors returning year after year. While some mention tight parking and low ceilings due to the cottage's age, these are minor compared to the overall positive experience. The thoughtful welcome touches and proximity to local amenities make it a favourite for both families and dog owners.
Multiple reviews highlight the cottage as spotlessly clean, tidy, and well maintained. Only one minor mention of a maintenance issue (a door nearly jamming), which was promptly resolved, supports a very high score.
The location is repeatedly praised as brilliant, excellent, and central, with easy access to the harbour, beach, and local amenities. The only minor negative is occasional mention of nearby bins, which is outside the owner's control.
Guests describe the cottage as cosy, comfortable, and homely, with comfy beds and relaxing spaces. Some note low ceilings and smaller room sizes, but these are generally accepted as part of the cottage's charm.
The cottage is well equipped, with a kitchen, enclosed garden, and private parking. Some minor issues are mentioned, such as a lack of starter fuel for the fire and a missing DVD player, but these do not detract significantly from the overall positive feedback.
Guests appreciate thoughtful touches such as dog bowls and a welcome pack with local biscuits. Please note, however, that such gifts are not guaranteed for every stay.
