Guests say

Stag Cottage at Broadings Farm is highly praised for its cleanliness, comfort, and modern amenities. Guests appreciate the property's proximity to Whitby and the secure garden for pets. The open plan kitchen/lounge and en-suite bathrooms are particularly well-received. Some minor suggestions for improvement include more crockery and attention to detail, but overall, guests are enthusiastic about returning and recommend the cottage to others.

The majority of guests found the cottage to be very clean and beautifully presented. There were a few mentions of minor oversights, such as cobwebs and a dirty splashback, but these were exceptions in the overall positive feedback.

The location is generally praised for its proximity to Whitby and scenic views, with many guests enjoying the walkability to local attractions. However, some noted the busy nearby road and lack of footpath, which could be a concern for safety and noise.

Guests consistently report that the beds are comfortable and the living spaces are large and airy. The underfloor heating and modern bathrooms add to the comfort level, although one guest mentioned a preference for a firmer mattress.

The cottage is well-equipped with modern appliances and fixtures, and guests appreciate the enclosed garden and secure parking. However, there are repeated comments about the need for more crockery, cutlery, and dishwasher tablets, indicating room for improvement in this area.

While guests are generally pleased with the property and some mention a welcome pack, there is not enough information to assess the consistency of thoughtful gestures such as gifts. Therefore, a score cannot be provided, and guests should note that such amenities are not guaranteed.

). We love the location and the comfort which this property offers. Close to Whitby and a great base for exploring the local coastline. The cottage itself is just perfect-everything you need for a wonderful stay! The king size bed is super comfy and the large walk in shower is fabulous! The underfloor heating system takes a little getting used to as it takes a while to cool down once heated-but it keeps the place so warm and cosy. We will definitely be back-5 stars all the way-just deciding which week for next year!

Definitely room for two cars and the gate shut making it perfect for the dogs too. Lovely clean site to walk around (lots of fields to walk the dogs in). It’s is on a very busy main road and the traffic could be heard but nothing too bad. You could walk into Whitby if you wanted too. Nice restaurant at the end of the road The Stables and the Park and Ride is there too. Only thing that was a shame was that there wasn’t any or very little matching crockery, but there was enough for everyone. We loved it and would definitely recommend. Heating system was great in fact when we arrived it was too hot and had to turn it down/off. Maybe a fan could be provided for the bedrooms? An outstanding property which we would return too.
