We had a great stay at the cottage and enjoyed Sandsend. Our only complaint is how uncomfortable the beds were and the lack of shower in the cottage. We felt the upstairs generally was in need of modernisation. The shower in an outhouse in the garden was not really an option I wanted to take. This did not spoil our stay but added a level of quirkiness which was unusual.

Difficult position at the side of a steep hill and busy road. Pretty cottage, well modernised, thoughtfully equipped, very clean and comfortable.
