The property's location is frequently highlighted as fantastic, offering beautiful views and proximity to local attractions. The presence of a busy road is noted but does not significantly detract from the overall positive feedback on location.

And what a lovely surprise this little house was. It was warm and welcoming but was a little disappointed that there was no welcome pack of milk or teabags which I thought was unusual compared to othe Sykes property we have stayed at. Luckily we had arranged a Shopping delivery so we finally got our much awaited cuppa. This place is warm comfy and tidy. Bed was soft and welcoming. Bathroom was a surprise as the roll top bath and waterfall shower head was fantastic. The whole place was including the paddocks were well looked after and the views once the fog cleared were amazing. This cottage is ideally situated on the Moors with Whitby about 4miles away, Goathland/ Aidensfield about the same. And Thornton le Dale about 40mins away. Pickering roughly the same distance. But with the Moors make sure you take warm clothes and wet proofing clothes as the wind and rain are torrential when we stayed. We would have liked to have had a GuestBook where other guests have stayed and written about their adventures to read in the cottage as they could pass on their trips. Would we return to this cottage? Definitely it is a little Gem on the Moor.

Beautiful cottage with fantastic views. Full use of extensive grounds and enjoyed by our golden retriever exercising in not one but two secure fields! Cottage very cosy, clean and well cared for. All facilities in good working order. Weather was kind to us so we travelled out every day - lots to see and do locally. Good range of nearby shops for provisions. Managed to count total of 14 'cow' images in and around the cottage- think 16 is the most found. Quirky bookcase my favourite item ! Many thanks to Carrie the owner for a fabulous holiday

It has all the amenities you could want, however there is a definite issue with WiFi reception and this impacted on the TV reception as well as mobile phones and tablets etc. The owner did everything possible to try and fix the problem while we were there, but we had to accept that the whole area suffers from poor reception. If you have children who want to use tablets or stream programmes this could definitely be a problem. Needless to say we donât, so weâll definitely be going again
