Discover Pond Farm Woodlands, a beautiful log cabin situated on the outskirts of Ugthorpe, only a short distance from the likes of Whitby, with glorious views and woodland bringing you a peaceful stay. Whether you are coming together as a family, or joining friends, this lovely cottage is somewhere special to build lasting memories, or simply to begin a remarkable adventure. The wonderful rural views wrap around the open-plan living area, red layered sofas rest before a woodburning stove, and floor-to-ceiling windows invite the outside in. Unwind here, or even relax on the decked terrace area with a glass of something refreshing whilst the children make the most of the Xbox and Blu-ray player. Spend the days as you wish, then settle down in the bedroom of your choice; there is a master suite with its own shower room, a double, and a delightful twin, separated by bedside tables. Wake up amidst the delightful interior, then gather with your loved ones to plan your day trips, perhaps at the lovely breakfast bar. Save some time to make the most of the hot tub and sauna, well-appointed for the magnificent scenery and woodland, where you may even spot a deer or two. With a collection of patio areas and lighting available for when the sun sets, you will never want to leave. Two pubs are only a stroll from the cottage, very pleasant after a day’s walking the numerous public footpaths and bridleways in the area. The seaside villages of Sandsend and Runswick Bay are close by and each provide lovely, sandy beaches, fossil hunting and beachcombing. The market towns of Pickering and Hutton-le-Hole, as well as Whitby, are just the start of your unique getaway.
The village of Ugthorpe lies 9 miles from Whitby. There is a local village inn serving food, plus the seaside village of Sandsend is 6 miles away and Runswick Bay is 3 miles away, both of which provide sandy beaches. The market towns of Pickering and Hutton-le-Hole are definitely worthy of a visit.

This is our second stay in less than 6 months. The lodge has everything you could possibly need. The welcome basket is excellent and the little gift in the box is extremely cute. The place feels very homely, you can sit for hours just looking out of the large windows in the sitting room. We love the sauna and the hot tub , and our little furbaby loved exploring the grounds. The owners are extremely friendly and nothing at all is a bother. I would highly recommend this lodge as I have to family and friends. We will definitely be booking again. If you like eating out the black bull in the village is a must for food, it is excellent and extremely tasty, the staff are friendly, however, they donât allow dogs inside the pub. If you want to travel a bit further out for food that is also dog friendly, the visit the Stables in Whitby

We have had a wonderful stay such a beautiful home with stunning views so peaceful just what we needed but not to far away to drive to some lovely places aswel it was a pleasure to stay for a week we will definitely return again soon couldn't fault anything the home and garden amazing
