Cottage on the Green in York is a well-received holiday rental, praised for its cleanliness, generous welcome hamper, and prime location with easy access to local amenities and York City Centre. Guests appreciate the cosy atmosphere, family and pet-friendly environment, and the property's proximity to shops, pubs, and public transport. While some guests mention minor issues with parking and mattress comfort, the overall sentiment is positive, with many looking forward to returning.
The property is generally described as clean and spotless, with only a few isolated comments about areas that could have been cleaned more thoroughly. The majority of guests seem satisfied with the level of cleanliness.
The location is highly praised for its convenience, with regular buses into York City Centre, local shops, and a selection of pubs. The green space and nearby amenities add to the appeal, making it an excellent spot for visitors.
While many guests find the cottage cosy and comfortable, there are remarks about the beds being uncomfortable and low to the ground. The comfort level is generally good, but the mattresses may need upgrading.
There is not enough information to accurately score the facilities and maintenance as reviews do not provide specific details on the range of facilities or their condition, apart from the mention of a log burner without logs and a toilet brush needing replacement.
