It was a revelation, how such a place could worm its way into your heart. Could it be because the beds were so comfy? And it was dog friendly too.

We loved this place. It was the perfect holiday cottage - sensibly furnished, tastefully decorated and with a homely feel. Well equipped in the kitchen and bathroom (best shower I've ever had in a holiday home). Located on a farm it was perfectly quiet and peaceful. Although it felt remote it was only a couple of miles from a fair sized town with small supermarket and other amenities, and in terms of location it was within striking distance of the sea, or further inland to explore whisky distilleries. Hosts were friendly and unobtrusively on hand for anything we needed. We'd certainly come back here if returning to the area.

Comfortable, clean home from home with everything you would need from a holiday home. The farm road to the cottage needs a little attention as rutted.
