We spent 3 nights at the old manse as a group of ladies celebrating my sister’s hen do. What a beautiful house, clean and facilities suitable for up to 10 people. The staff were very helpful with any queries and quick to provide additional resources we needed! We also had lunch at the restaurant and a drink from the climbers bar which were pleasant spaces with more friendly staff- thank you!Only a few points of note:-Check in was 4-5pm (rather late) and I confirmed this with staff the night before. I then received an email as pre-arrival check in where I was informed check in was 3pm with checkout at 11am. Unfortunately we found out that check in was supposed to be 0930?? This was never told to us. The pre check in said 11am and cottages.com said 10am. The different online facilities do not share the same info. Hopefully this can be clarified for future uses.- we also had planned to take a last dip in the hot tun instead of breakfast on the last morning. But we went outside and the hottub was being drained at 0830. I feel this should also be in the check in information as the property was booked until 1000/1100. - the wood fire in the living room looks lovely but the logs provided are far too big so we couldn’t use it (just an oversight but we were very warm with the heating and hot water working quickly!)I absolutely recommend glen clova’s “The Old Manse” and would happily return with family or friends.
