Guests say

Corrie Massan offers a peaceful and scenic retreat, perfect for those seeking tranquillity and beautiful surroundings. Guests consistently praise the well-equipped cottage, spacious layout, and abundance of walks and wildlife on the doorstep. The property is especially suited to dog owners and families wanting to disconnect. While the remote location and access track add to the sense of escape, some guests note low water pressure in showers, occasional maintenance issues, and less comfortable mattresses. Overall, the cottage provides a memorable and relaxing getaway in a stunning setting.

Most guests found the cottage clean and tidy, though a few mentioned damp odours, stains, and some areas needing attention, such as cushion covers and garden maintenance.

The location is widely praised for its beauty, tranquillity, and access to nature. The remote setting is a highlight, though the rough access road may challenge some vehicles.

Guests enjoyed the spaciousness and warmth of the cottage, but several mentioned uncomfortable mattresses and sofas, as well as weak water pressure in the showers.

The cottage is well-equipped with kitchen essentials and games, but some items (e.g., baking trays, frying pans, dishwasher) are worn or not working. Showers and garden maintenance were also noted as areas for improvement.

There are no mentions of welcome gifts or extra thoughtful touches in the reviews, so a score cannot be provided for this category.

Cottage is in need of a refirb.Sofas old and so low can't get off them.Cushion covers dirtyA well stocked kitchen but some pots chipped.Dishwasher not working.A bottle of kitchen cleaner left but full of water.Games supplied pack of cards, cards missing. Dominoes. Pieces missing.Showers were cold and just dribbled. We used the bath.Beds oh dear so so uncomfortable, they are old I removed mattress cover, I wish I hadn't stains on top of stains. Need replacing. Garden looks like it's not been touched in years over grown the paths covered in grass and weeds. When we arrived we had to clear dog poo it was all over. Apart from that we made the most of the beautiful scenery and walks around.

Corrie Massan is located in a wonderful setting, the cottage itself is very well appointed, warm and offers plenty of accommodation for two families to share. Plenty of walks right on your doorstep without the need to leave the area for several days if you go well prepared with food. The downsides are the road to actually access the area, 4 miles of potholed single track road which you really need a Range Rover or similar vehicle, our Mercedes Estate was a nightmare. The accommodation is comfortable but the sofas had no support whatsoever, fortunately there are two easy chairs. The main bedroom at the front of the property - mattress needs replacing as when two are sharing you roll into the middle and the shower is only a very slight trickle. Dishwasher didn't work and when mentioned on Thursday was greeted with a moan that we should have notified them earlier as the next occupiers would be without one. Given that there is no mobile signal that was very difficult to do and their point of contact, estate worker, that was the first time I'd seen her. You must obtain the keylocker code 7-10 days beforehand, I only received the email telling me to do this 7 days beforehand and failed to do because of personal reasons. I left numerous messages for 3 days prior to going with no response. We ended up sitting outside for over an hour whilst online to hire agent who had to contact the owner, their estate worker isn't contactable.
