Guests say

Corrie Massan offers a peaceful and scenic retreat, perfect for those seeking tranquillity and beautiful countryside views. Guests consistently praise the well-equipped cottage, spacious layout, and abundance of walks and wildlife on the doorstep. The property is especially suited to families and dog owners. While the remote location and access track add to its charm, they may pose challenges for some vehicles. Some guests noted low water pressure in the showers and suggested improvements to mattresses and some furnishings, but overall, the cottage provides a memorable and relaxing getaway in stunning surroundings.

Most guests found the cottage clean and tidy, though a few mentioned issues such as damp odours, stained mattresses, and the need for some refurbishment. Overall, cleanliness was generally satisfactory but with room for improvement.

The location is widely praised for its breathtaking scenery, tranquillity, and abundance of walks and wildlife. The remote setting is a highlight, though the access road is challenging and best suited to robust vehicles.

Guests appreciated the spaciousness and warmth of the cottage, but several mentioned uncomfortable mattresses and sofas, as well as low water pressure in the showers. Despite these points, most guests still enjoyed a restful stay.

The cottage is well-equipped with kitchen essentials, games, and comfortable living spaces. However, some kitchen items and furnishings are tired, and issues with the dishwasher and showers were noted. The lack of WiFi is mentioned but often seen as a positive for a true getaway.

There are no specific mentions of welcome gifts or extra thoughtful touches in the reviews, so a score cannot be provided for this category.

We looked for a holiday out of the way to relax and unwind, and that’s exactly what we got. A lovely warming cottage out in the country with lovely views. Ideal location for the whole family. My Grandaughter loved watching the tractors going about their day, visits from the sheep, farm dog and the swallows nesting on the cottage. The cottage had every thing you needed and in between visits to the local area and surrounding islands we even managed to complete some jigsaws. Only regret was not being able to use the log burner at the cottage, but that was due to the lovely weather. Fab time and happy to return.

Cottage is in need of a refirb.Sofas old and so low can't get off them.Cushion covers dirtyA well stocked kitchen but some pots chipped.Dishwasher not working.A bottle of kitchen cleaner left but full of water.Games supplied pack of cards, cards missing. Dominoes. Pieces missing.Showers were cold and just dribbled. We used the bath.Beds oh dear so so uncomfortable, they are old I removed mattress cover, I wish I hadn't stains on top of stains. Need replacing. Garden looks like it's not been touched in years over grown the paths covered in grass and weeds. When we arrived we had to clear dog poo it was all over. Apart from that we made the most of the beautiful scenery and walks around.
