The cottage is commended for being well-equipped, with a special mention of the kitchen's ample crockery and utensils. The lockable shed for bike storage and the provision of wood for the burner are appreciated. One review suggests room for improvement in maintenance.
The host's thoughtfulness is evident through personal touches like welcome fruit baskets and flowers. While these gestures are highly appreciated, it is noted that such extras, though delightful, are not guaranteed with every stay.

Excellent cottage. High quality furnishings throughout. Every thing you need in the kitchen and more. Best we have stayed in. Lovely sheltered garden too. We were made to feel very welcome in the village. Good small convenience store and a family butcher only a short walk away. Karen is a great host providing detailed information prior to arrival.

Love it here, everything you need - a real home from home, great base and lots of places to visit, the dogs loved it - lots of beaches and not too busy! Karen is really nice and super-helpful. Shops nearby and plenty of walks for the dogs, cosy fire if it gets chilly at night, we’ve been here a few times now including the cottage next door

Kinnen Cottage is the perfect place to stay, either for exploring Creetown and the west of Dumfries and Galloway or for relaxing with a good book (or both!) The cottage is comfortable, beautifully furnished and very well equipped, with a lovely garden to enjoy too. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and hope to come back.
