Located on the spectacular Solway coast near Dumfries and close to the stunning Galloway Forest Park, Britain’s largest forest park, it is a popular area for walkers and cyclists with world class mountain biking at Dalbeattie 7 Stanes nearby. With unspoilt villages, dramatic coastlines, sandy beaches, rocky coves, magnificent gardens, castles and ancient monuments to explore. Wildlife is in abundance with the rspb nature reserve just along the coast. Championship golf course 300 yards away and fishing, riding and sailing are all available. Sweetheart Abbey, Drumlanrig Castle and Gardens, and Mabie Farm Park are all within easy reach. Beach 100 yards. Shop, pub and restaurant 200 yards.

Spacious, well equipped property, fully enclosed area at rear, which is great for dogs. Comfortable beds, large kitchen area. Two minute walk to beach, pleasant stroll around nearby golf course with coastal views. Friendly pub within 5 mins walk. Highly recommended.

Lovely little cottage .would stay there again.Only complaint was lack of curtains or blinds in the conservatory open to the holiday park behind you

We had a lovely week. The cottage is ideal for walking dogs and the enclosed garden was good for them also.Overall the cottage was very comfortable and spacious. One of the beds in the twin room needs a new mattress. The conservatory would benefit for some blinds on the side facing the caravan park mainly for privacy.A must for the kitchen utensils would be oven gloves and tongs. Also a basic first aid kit.Saying all that I would stay there again.
