Laurieknowe Coach House has a quiet and private location but is only a very short walk to all that the town centre has to offer. The town has many historical links to both Scotland’s bloody past through Robert the Bruce and more refined culture with figures such as Robert Burns, who lived, worked and in the town while only a 5 minute walk away is Moat Brae House which inspired Peter Pan’s creation, the house is now open to the public so that you can enjoy it’s history and fascination too. The Coach house was a real home from home. A beautiful cottage right in the heart of Dumfries, that has been lovingly restored, renovated and decorated by the owners. Set in a beautiful well tended garden, the cottage is a joy to arrive at and hard to leave. Linda our host was very helpful, and friendly, Thank you so much for contacting us Linda as we'd left some things behind. We hope to come back and stay again!

Beautiful property ideally situated. Near enough to centre of Dumfries but feels like in the middle of the countryside. An absolute gem of a cottage with all the comforts of home. Excellent welcome by hosts who only live next door, accessible but not intrusive at all. Added touch of lovely welcome pack in the kitchen. Ideal for couples, families. Would highly recommend
