A very cozy and spacious house with everything needed for a comfortable stay. Spotlessly clean and well prepared. The hosts are very friendly and welcoming. The house is surrounded by fields, offering complete relaxation. Dumfries is only a 15-minute drive away, with plenty of shops and cafés. As for thibgs to see around, you can visit historical places such as Caerlaverock Castle, The Crichton Trust with its beautiful park, The Robert Burns Centre, etc. Our family highly recommends this place. Perfect base to explore the local area. Cottage was spotless and well equipped. All the rooms were a good size and easily accommodated our family of seven. Mrs Eardsley, the owner, was on hand to check our stay was going well but wasn't overbearing in the slightest. Our grandkids really enjoyed watching the sheepdogs at work in the fields just out the front. Would highly recommend.

We absolutely loved Halliday Hill Farm, it was exactly what we were looking for in a family holiday home. The hosts have thought of everything a family could want and it truly felt like a home from home. We loved it so much we’ve already booked again for next year!
