The Old Cheese Loft is a lovely cottage which is extremely well equipped with everything you need readily at hand. Plenty of pans, cutlery and crockery. Cleaning products and toilet rolls supplied and a lovely welcome pack upon arrival. The beds are comfortable and the bathroom and shower room are really very spacious. Parking is plentiful and easy. There are planty of places to visit nearby, (Portpatrick, Port Logan, Mull of Galloway) and a little further affield there is Isle of Whithorn, Wigtown, Girvan and even Ayr. Our visit was in winter time when the cows on the working farm are indoors so they were a little noisy at times but not too intrusive. I would not hesitate in recommending this property to others. The only way it could be improved would be perhaps to supply a dressing table in one of the bedrooms to assist when hairdrying and styling following a shower.

A very generous welcome pack which was much appreciated. A warm, cosy and comfortable cottage which came well equipped for everything we needed. The location is ideal for the coast and its walking options and close to Portpatrick (and Stranraer). We also had an enjoyable afternoon at Castle Kennedy Gardens which is also close by. A thoroughly quiet and relaxing time and the weather was mainly good too!
