This pet-friendly property is in a private location with a secluded enclosed garden and panoramic views all round. Just a short drive from Sanquhar and Thornhill where there are hotels, shops, restaurants and bars to assist with your self-catered stay. Whilst boasting ground-floor living arrangements, the cottage welcomes four guests, suitable for both families and friends. Benefitting from a fully-equipped kitchen, dining room and spacious lounge to relax in after a day of exploring. Two well-presented bedrooms and a convenient shower room. Head outside to the large south-facing garden surrounded by farmland; here you can sit out on the patio furntiure and admire the peaceful setting. The garden is fully enclosed, so your dog if free to roam safely as you enjoy the outdoors. Marr Cottage is a short walk to Drumlanrig Castle & Gardens, with over 40 acres of manicured grounds and miles of paths and bike trails. Also within easy reach, is Morton Castle, set within a remote location, ideal for history buffs. Very clean, comfortable and homely. The large enclosed garden is particularly useful as we have a dog. The cottage is situated in a lovely part of Dumfries and Galloway. Pauline was very helpful and responsive.

Peaceful location off a drive on a really quiet country lane. Lots and lots to explore in the vicinity, lovely walks: fields, streams, lochs, waterfalls and moors. Cottage was fitted and decorated to a high standard and had everything we could possibly need and thoughtful welcome goodies on arrival. Lovely friendly owners too. Recommended
