Guests say

Quarter Deck Gardens is a cottage with stunning views and a great location for exploring Glencoe and the Highlands. Guests appreciate the warm, comfortable beds and the well-equipped, recently updated kitchen and bathroom. The property is undergoing refurbishment, which once complete, promises to enhance its appeal.

Reviews indicate that cleanliness is an area for improvement, with several guests noting the property could benefit from a more thorough clean. The presence of clutter and an overgrown garden were also mentioned.

The property's location is highly praised for its stunning views and proximity to local attractions, shops, and hiking areas. Despite being close to a busy road, the location is generally considered excellent.

Guests find the beds comfortable and the cottage warm, contributing to a cosy stay. However, the presence of clutter and unfinished areas slightly detracts from the overall comfort.

The property boasts a new kitchen and bathroom, but some facilities like the bath are not yet operational. There are also comments about the need for clearer instructions for appliances and maintenance issues.

There is insufficient information to assess thoughtfulness accurately. While a welcome pack is mentioned, it is not described positively, and there are no consistent references to gifts or extra touches that would indicate thoughtfulness.

This cottage has such potential but needs a significant amount of work to bring it up to standard. It is in desperate need of a folder containing essential information such as stopcock and fuse box location, emergency contacts, local information such as waste collection, local pharmacy, doctor etc and appliance instructions. As already pointed out in previous reviews, it is cluttered, extremely untidy and not particularly clean. Although it has an impressive new kitchen and bathroom (albeit the bath is still not plumbed in), the oven is particularly difficult to use and extreme care has to be taken when using the shower as the cubicle is not completely enclosed. On the positive side: it's a great location, the views from every room are stunning, the cottage is warm and the beds comfortable.

Nice Cottage in good location close to shops and routes to other places Close to A82 but traffic not a problem late at night so no trouble sleeping

Very conveniently situated for the Glencoe area. The cottage had everything we needed for 6 of us staying over a long weekend, and the owner works hard to keep it clean and tidy. Good value for money.
