Guests say

Quarter Deck Gardens is a cottage with stunning views and a great location for exploring Glencoe and the Highlands. Guests appreciate the warm, comfortable bedrooms and the recently updated kitchen and bathroom. The property is undergoing refurbishment, which once complete, promises to enhance its appeal further.

Several reviews mention the property is not particularly clean, with grubby carpets and clutter. However, some guests found it clean and tidy, indicating inconsistency in cleanliness standards.

The location is highly praised for its stunning views and convenience to local attractions and amenities. It is close to shops, hiking trails, and scenic spots, making it an ideal base for exploring the area.

Guests find the beds comfortable and the cottage warm, providing a cosy stay. However, the presence of clutter and unfinished areas detracts from the overall comfort for some visitors.

The property boasts a new kitchen and bathroom, but several reviews highlight issues with maintenance, such as non-functioning appliances and unfinished plumbing. The garden and patio also require attention.

There is insufficient information to assess thoughtfulness as there are no consistent mentions of gifts or special touches provided by the host, apart from a mention of a half jar of coffee and an undated pack of shortbread fingers, which cannot be guaranteed for future guests.

We all enjoyed our stay at Quarterdeck Gardens, very warm, comfortable and a great place for walking and admiring the vi. It was situated in Glencoe where we were attending our Sons Wedding, very convenient for our trip. The property was quite large and comfortable and met our needs, providing accommodation for all guests including our 2 dogs. The driveway to the property is very narrow and sloping. Could be better designed.

Good bits: Environment around the cottage is quite nice and easy to find if you are driving. Nice view near the house. Bad bits: the check in time was supposed go be after 5pm which is relatively late tbh. We arrived at 5:30pm however there is still a lady inside the house doing cleaning and she was murmuring about no one helping. She left around 6pm. However even she cleaned, hygiene is absolutely terrible. Kitchen was not cleaned and still oily on countertop. Dust on trash bins, toilet seat was not cleaned you can find stains and hair on it. There is only one proper double bed and the rest was actually slightly bigger single beddefinitely cannot fit with 2 adults, not to mention the duvets provided was so small lol Also maintenance was poor. Only 2 out of 4 cooking hobs working, toasters also not working. Windows are basicallyyou can feel wind outside. Generally a poor maintained house with poor hygiene.
