Please note: The property is situated at the end of a half mile farm track that can become rough.. Shelterstone is a charming traditional stone cottage with walking access directly down to the sea. Originally two fisherman’s cottages, which have now been combined, Shelterstone has been sympathetically renovated and restored by the current owner. It offers spacious and modern accommodation whilst retaining many of its lovely and unusual original features. The main living area is simply stunning. Divided by a massive stone chimney breast housing a large wood burning stove, the lounge/dining room has beautiful redwood floors and ceiling and deep silled windows that drink in amazing views out to sea. Outside is a pretty stone terrace/BBQ area leading onto a large lawned garden. There is access down to the coastal path and bay below. Three good sized bedrooms (one en-suite) makes this an ideal venue for a family holiday. This is wonderful cycling and walking country, with miles of coastal footpaths, woodland walks and trails right on the doorstep.

We had a lovely week at Shelterstone. The house was comfortable, well equipped and a great place to come back to after a day out.The location is superb, with wonderful views across the Moray Firth and the Black Isle in the distance. It made an excellent base for exploring the area, while also being a lovely place to simply relax and enjoy the scenery.We really enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend Shelterstone to anyone looking for a peaceful break in a fantastic location.

Had a fantastic break..yes you are slightly isolated but the beach on your doorstep and the quality of the cottage more than makes up for the latter

Another Fab week at shelterstone, we love this cottage so much the dogs had an amazing time and so did the children.the cottage Gardens are beautiful and well kept, we met the tiny toad family in the front garden this time. we seen the dolphins swimming by as we had breakfast and the beautiful sunsets. it was a little cooler weather wise and we used the fire this time the smell of the coal and the warmth from it was lovely. The house has genuinely everything you need for a comfortable stay fully equipped kitchen with full size fridge/freezer washing machine, dishwasher and tumble dryer, bedrooms have plenty of storage and space in them, family bathroom has massive deep bath and shower over head. ensuite has a walk in shower.book the Cottage you wont regret it.
