The Creagan is a charming cottage with fantastic views and ample outdoor space, appreciated by both guests and their pets. Its comfortable beds and well-equipped kitchen enhance the stay. While some areas appear tired and in need of updating, the property's location and the natural surroundings contribute to a pleasant experience.
The property has been noted to be a bit tired in places, with cushion covers needing a wash and an unpleasant odour in the sitting room. However, no other major cleanliness issues were mentioned.
The location is highly praised for its superb views and great setting. The steep hill access is noted but guests adapted to it.
Guests found the beds comfortable and the house spacious for adults and dogs. However, some windows were difficult to operate, affecting overall comfort.
The kitchen is well-equipped, but there were issues with a window, smoke alarm, and extractor fan. The fan was fixed promptly, indicating good maintenance response.
There is no mention of gifts or additional thoughtful touches provided by the hosts, so it is not possible to assess this category.

The Creagan in Corrie is a traditional detached cottage, set in an elevated position, offering fabulous sea views. The village of Corrie runs along the east coast of Arran and is just 6 miles from the main village of Brodick. It is a common spot to watch seals bobbing around in the sea, and some lucky people will even catch a glimpse of a pod of dolphins at times.
This coastal property is located up a hill, just off the main road, allowing these wonderful, uninterrupted sea views to be enjoyed from the decking. Inside this cosy cottage, many traditional features have been retained, such as the internal doors, the wooden panelling, original roll-top bath and the open fire in the living room. The wood burner in the kitchen/dining area adds to the cottage feel, allowing guests to relax in a warm and cosy atmosphere. During the warmer months, you can open up the patio doors from the dining area out onto the decking, and bring the outside in. The decking is a great place to relax in the sun with a glass of wine, after enjoying an adventure around the Isle of Arran.
For those not wanting to travel too far, just wander down to the local hotel for some lunch and drinks in the seaside-located beer garden, or taste some seafood dishes in the local fish deli. Corrie also has a children’s play park, and the local village hall and hotel hold events and live music at times throughout the year. The Creagan at Corrie is also perfect for a weekend break. Beach 1 mile. Shop 6 miles, pub and restaurant 300 yards.

Nice cottage, needs a bit updating. The window in the upstairs bedroom needs repairs as my friend opened it but it wouldn't close. Smoke alarm beeped most of the time. Extractor fan over the oven didn't work but when I reported it, it was mended the same day. No one mended the steep hill to get to the cottage, my car didn't like it but we got used to it. Lots of lovely birds and a squirrel to watch

Loved our week at The Creagan. Very comfortable house, in great location with amazing views from the veranda. Dogs loved the garden. Would definitely book again next time visiting Arran.

Superb views in a great location. The property overall could do with updating. Unfortunately the overwhelming smell of wet dogs in the sitting room was disturbing. We invested in air fresheners which helped. There was no starter pack of fuel as described in the listing. Overall we enjoyed our stay as we were able to enjoy the outside space and views rather than using the sitting room as the weather was kind.
