Whittadder Lodge is highly praised for its cleanliness, stunning location, and comfort. Guests appreciate the well-equipped facilities, though minor maintenance issues are noted. The secure garden is a hit with pet owners, and the thoughtful touches, such as welcome treats, enhance the stay. The lodge's peaceful setting and wildlife sightings contribute to a relaxing experience.
The lodge receives high marks for cleanliness, with multiple reviews mentioning its spotless condition upon arrival. However, a minor comment about dust on some surfaces slightly impacts the score.
The location is consistently lauded for its tranquility, beautiful views, and wildlife encounters. Its peacefulness and proximity to local attractions make it an ideal retreat.
Comfort is a strong point, with underfloor heating and comfortable beds frequently mentioned. Some guests experienced issues with the heating system and bathroom taps, which slightly affects the score.
Facilities are generally well-received, with a well-equipped kitchen and secure garden. However, there are reports of minor maintenance issues, such as stiff taps and a smell in the en-suite, which are taken into account.
While guests mention thoughtful touches like welcome treats and the provision of binoculars and board games, there is not enough information to guarantee these are consistent offerings for all stays, hence the score is set to null.

Spacious & set in such a beautiful, peaceful surrounding that it was perfect for a weeks getaway. Needs to have the front & back porch areas cleaned from algae as I fell on rear wooden patio area. Chicken wire was perfect idea to prevent slips but only used on steps. That was the only fault. The rest was absolutely perfect. We had an evening at the Waterloo pub just up the road. Iâd recommend this to anyone. Dog friendly & cosy. Surrounded by many places to visit & with days spent at the lodge it was fantastic to look out at the perfect view or catch sight of the group of deer.

Kids and dogs loved it. We will definitely return. Thanks. X

Thank you for letting us stay. Ruby our Cocker spaniel thoroughly enjoyed the garden. This was enclosed by fencing which is not shown on pics! Our bed was very comfortable. Bathrooms were a good size. Hot water was quick and reliable. The tops of the extractor fan and fridge/freezer hadn't been wiped for a while! A new tin opener in the kitchen draw might be a good idea. The treats on arrival were a nice touch. Thank you. One of our most favourite places booked with Sykes. Very handily placed for trips up and down the coast. Never used the local pubs so have no feedback. North Berwick and Bamburgh/Seahouses being lovely places. Lovely week long break. Thank you.
