The house's warmth, spaciousness, and well-equipped kitchen are frequently mentioned, alongside the thoughtful touches provided by the hosts.

Most guests found The Anchorage to be immaculate and comfortable. However, a few mentioned minor cleanliness issues such as dust and a need for tidying in the garden, which slightly impacted the overall impression.

The location is highly praised for its amazing sea views and easy access to coastal beauty spots, trails, and nearby towns. The convenience for exploring the coastline and the proximity to Edinburgh by train are also appreciated.

Guests have reported the house to be warm, comfortable, and spacious, with comfy beds and ample facilities. The presence of multiple bathrooms and a conservatory with a wood-burning fire adds to the comfort. Some guests noted the showers could be small and the conservatory too hot at times.

Guests have expressed gratitude for the thoughtful welcome treats and provisions, which added to their experience. While these gestures are warmly received, it is noted that such personal touches, though delightful, may vary and are not guaranteed with every stay.

The beds and sofas were comfortable and the kitchen had everything you could need. However the living room was extremely cold (it was February) despite 2 radiators and an open fire. The freezer being in the garage and having to go outside would have been a pain had we needed to use it and also appeared to be frozen up and also the kitchen cupboards should be reorganised to allow some food storage space and the bathrooms although functional are a little tired. Despite these niggles the Anchorage had what we needed for our stay.

The welcome treats we're greatly appreciated. Amazing views out to sea, the kids loved to sit and watch the waves coming in. All bedrooms comfy and plenty of storage for clothes. Everything you could need in the kitchen for cooking with and bonus having a washing machine. Loved all the pictures and trinkets throughout the house. As with any home there are bits of decorating/maintenance needing done, before going we were made aware of a recent leak which had caused a patch on the ceiling. None of this took away anything from the amazing property. We'll definitely be back. Fantastic location and an amazing house.

We enjoyed walking along the numerous beaches within an easy car ride away and even had glimpses of dolphins and deer from the house.
