Guests say

Brewhouse offers a charming and peaceful retreat with a unique character, set in beautiful surroundings ideal for walks and wildlife watching. Guests appreciated the warm welcome from the hosts, the tranquil location, and the cottage’s comfortable atmosphere. While some found the property a little basic and overgrown in places, and noted the presence of peacocks could be noisy at night, most enjoyed their stay and found the setting perfect for exploring the local area and nearby attractions.

Reviews did not mention any major cleanliness issues, but some comments about the property being 'run down' and 'rough and ready' suggest it may not be pristine. However, guests generally found it acceptable and comfortable.

The location was widely praised for its peacefulness, charm, proximity to the village, and suitability for walks and exploring the region. The only minor negative was that the property was a little hard to find initially.

Guests described the cottage as warm, comfortable, and a good size, with thick walls helping to keep it cool in hot weather. Some noise from peacocks at night was noted, but overall comfort was positively received.

Facilities were described as basic, with some missing amenities such as a freezer and Wi-Fi. There was also a discrepancy in the number of bedrooms advertised. The property was otherwise functional and met most guests’ needs.

The hosts were repeatedly described as lovely, friendly, and helpful, contributing positively to guests’ experiences. No mention of gifts was made, so guests should note that such gestures are not guaranteed.

We had a gorgeous time at Brewhouse, it is amazingly situated for exploring a variety of areas. It's close to shops for convenience and is in a lovely area which is quiet and calm. The house is a fab size and has everything you need.

Great week away at the Brewhouse, lovely easy walk to the local village across fields where we watched owls, foxes, swifts and martins. The peacocks were great to watch as well! Property was easy enough to keep cool in the extreme heat we had, in part due to the depth of the walls but also being able to sit in different rooms at various times of day.Great spot to explore the castles and coast
