This large detached cottage has been lovingly converted a very good standard providing guests with an unforgettable holiday experience in beautiful Carmarthenshire. Conveniently located close to the spectacular Millennium Coastal Path, guests can explore the scenic Pembrey Country Park with eight miles of golden sands at Cefn Sidan, Pembrey must be the only place in Europe where visitors can sunbathe, swim and hunt for shipwrecks on the beaches, then experience the thrill of a toboggan run or race down the parks 130m dry ski slope. We all really enjoyed our stay at Ysgubor Wen. Very comfortable, great sports room. Excellent kitchen. Hot tub very much appreciated after days out and about.

We had a few issues on arrival but after contacting the host he rectified the problems efficiently, the cleanliness wasn’t great but soon sorted and made it feel like our home, as I say the host sorted the issues out quite quickly so we were able to enjoy our stay. I did give him this feedback and was courteous about it. The beaches were super for our children and pembrey country park was amazing and did 2 visits there for the little ones to explore, picnic and play & swim on beach The hot tub and bbq were great and had lots of use as the weather was amazing, it was well equipped too. As I said above just needs more of a deep clean before guests arrive as it’s the first impressions that stay with you.

Stayed here with family, 8 of us in total and 2 elderly dogs who loved the garden which is very spacious. Would imagine in spring when it is lovely and green it is even better. Think there is a magnolia too, was lovely to hear the birds in a morning the Merlin Bird App was picking up all sorts, wrens, finches etc. Would be great with a couple of feeders. The house itself is very spacious with a very well equipped kitchen. Everyone absolutely loved the hot tub ideal with teenagers as is the games room, also well used. Pembury Park is brilliant for activities we also visited Heatherton Park near Tenby loads for the lads to do, go karting etc. Tenby is a must while you are there. Just so beautiful. Back in Burry Port if you have any adults who like a pint visit The Portobello down the road so cheap !! Proper pub how they used to be. All in all we had a great time.
