Overall the house is a nice size, well kitted out. Loved the air fryer. Lots of room, nice sized garden. The location was great as only a short drive to New Quay town and beach. Was lovely to see the dolphins, a spectacular surprise, as we were just overlooking the beach at the time and then we spotted them. There is a little local shop, but it closes quite early and the nearest supermarket, was quite a drive away (45mins). Could not find any takeaway that would deliver to the house. There is a pub in the village. But we never ventured in, as we didn’t have time (due to other things). The house was mostly clean when we arrived. Though there were crumbs on the living room floor. We did love the house, however we thought it needed a bit of tlc, as parts were tired and there were a few bits and pieces that needed replacing eg. holes in the oven gloves, no scissors etc. The games room was a nice addition, although again a bit tired, dartboard needs replacing really and a little sofa would be a nice addition. The conservatory was great and we played board games, we took with us, most nights, in there. We also appreciated the blankets that were around too, for snuggling up in the evening. There is a well in the garden, which we thought was a lovely feature, however it had an unpleasant smell coming from it. Also worth noting, the stairs are very steep, (which isn’t great if you have poor mobility) however there are 2 rooms downstairs and a shower room too, but again worth noting that if you have mobility issues, the floor around the downstairs toilet dips. Also the downstairs shower room has an automatic light, which is great, mostly, but not great in the night, as you have to wait for it to turn off. Loved having a washing machine and tumble dryer, plus an airer. There were even some dog bowls, which we appreciated. Dishwasher and air fryer a nice touch too. We also were grateful for the lovely welcome goodies, gluten free (as checked our dietary requirements prior to arrival) also the bottle of Prosecco, as we were celebrating our wedding anniversary. Milk in the fridge too. The owner was a very lovely man, he popped in to help us with the hot water and also popped in to check on us, later in the week. Overall we would recommend the house, if you need a larger house and are happy to be tucked away.

Just returned from a lovely weeks stay In Aug. The house is surprisingly bigger than expected, and well equipped with everything we needed, and great information packs left for guests. Mel & Nia were very thoughtful hosts, we added a dog to our booking late on and they gladly accepted. There was a bad smell in the garden from I believe dogs urinating on the artificial grass. When I mentioned this to Mel he was round the next day and removed it, which made sitting in the garden much more pleasant! Thank you.Games room was fab, for kids and adults! At one point there were 6 adults 2 kids and a dog and we all had our own space to relax without being on top of each other.Living room was spacious as was most of the house really, enough seating for everyone with the conservatory as a nice bonus. The bunk bed room was on the small side but perfect for kids. Drive was large enough for 3 big cars. I read a review that says it’s dated, but I found the house charming with original features, shower room downstairs was modern. Only thing I think dated is the cooker, but there’s a brand new ninja which was fab.Location is great, lots of local beaches within 10 minute drive. Pub down the road was lovely, food was good and we joined the quiz on the Thursday night, lovely friendly staff in there. Definitely recommend this house, felt like it had everything we needed, Mel & Nia very good hosts, would stay again.
