Ideal for also visiting the many other beauty spots of Bae Ceredigion, also known as Cardigan Bay, the single-storey abode benefits from a large, private deck with sea views.
Climb seven steps up to the gated decked area to let yourselves into your new home from home. At the heart of the hideaway is an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, with enticing furnishings and interesting and eclectic artworks and accessories. Settle on the sumptuous soft seating in here to watch the large TV or play games together after your days out. Prepare dinner in the well-designed kitchen then pour a glass of wine and pull a stool up to the breakfast bar while you wait for it to cook. Serve up to your family and friends at the table. When you are ready to turn in for the night, head through to one of the two double bedrooms or the twin. One of the doubles has sea views and an en-suite bathroom. There is also a family shower room. Soak up the sunshine and the scenery from the expansive deck. Dine out here on summer days. Go for a dip in the indoor pool at any time or the outdoor pool in the high season.
Head into New Quay to picnic on the beach, where you can also swim and surf. Book places on dolphin spotting boat trips from here. Lace up your walking boots and head out along the Wales Coast Path. Follow the 6.5-mile stretch to Aberaeron, which captures magnificent vistas.
