The Old Byre in Swansea is praised for its excellent location, comfort, and well-equipped facilities. Guests appreciate the proximity to beautiful beaches and scenic walks, as well as the thoughtful touches like flowers and Welsh-cakes. While some minor cleanliness issues were noted, the overall experience is highly regarded, with many guests eager to return.
Most guests found The Old Byre clean and tidy, with a few noting minor issues such as hairs in the bathroom and a mouldy washing machine seal. These seem to be exceptions rather than the rule.
The cottage's location is consistently lauded for its stunning views and proximity to beaches and cliff-top walks. The convenience to local amenities and attractions adds to its appeal.
Guests describe the beds as comfortable and the living space as cosy and homely. Some guests mentioned that the twin beds could be firmer and that the upstairs bathroom could benefit from a better shower setup.
The property is well-equipped, particularly the kitchen, and guests appreciate the off-road parking and outdoor space. However, some guests noted that the furniture and bathrooms are a bit tired and could use some attention.
Guests were touched by the thoughtful gestures such as flowers and Welsh-cakes on arrival. While these gifts are warmly received, it is noted that such personal touches are subject to the owners' discretion and may not be guaranteed.

We had a fantastic time at the Old Byre. The location was incredible - so close to Fall Bay! The cottage itself was clean and really well equipped with everything that you could want (including salt, pepper and dishwasher tablets). We would recommend the cottage!

Great location, stunning views from the National Trust car park at Rhossili. Good walks along the cliff tops towards Worms Head and if you time it right, the walk over. The Worms Head hotel is closed at the moment due to a recent fire. We went to the Ship Inn at Port Eynon, lovely food but a little pricey. The walk down to the beach at Rhossili is steep, there is a footpath, but worth it for a walk along the stunning beach. The Old Byre was clean, well equipped and parking for 2 vehicles. All in all a lovely stay, even during Storm Amy which occurred during our stay.
