A substantial, detached property in an elevated position, located in a residential street on the outskirts of Old Colwyn, close to the coast and a short walk to the vibrant Victorian seaside town of Colwyn Bay, in North Wales. This well-presented property is comfortably appointed throughout, boasting spacious holiday accommodation over three floors, providing a great base for exploring the area and is perfect for families who just want to spend some time together. This delightful property has six bedrooms in total, three benefitting from en-suite facilities with a family bathroom servicing the others with the addition of two handy cloakrooms.
Arranged on the ground floor, is the light and bright sitting room which has a lovely open fire and extends to a family dining room which overlooks the garden and rooftops, extending to coastal and sea views beyond. Just off the dining room is the well-equipped kitchen which caters for all your needs. And the master bedroom suite also offers a walk through wardrobe/ dressing area and a sumptuous super king-size bed, which can also be made up as a twin on request, offering even more flexible sleeping arrangements. Upstairs, on the first floor are three of the six bedrooms and the family bathroom with bath and separate shower.
On the lower ground floor, two further bedrooms, one with patio doors to its own private patio and both with an en-suite shower room. Also on this level, Gweld y Mor has a games room, complete with table tennis and table football, and if that's not enough to keep all the family entertained then there is also a fantastic cinema room with LG 75 4K Smart TV with Sony surround sound and wonderful mood lighting to set the perfect atmosphere you'd experience at a real cinema, you just need to bring the popcorn! Outside there is a wonderful garden and patio area with seating, providing an ideal place to sit and enjoy a relaxing drink after a busy day out and about exploring.
There is also off road parking for three cars, with ample free roadside parking on the quiet road outside. With the beach just a short walk away and the promenade to Old Colwyn or Rhos-on-Sea close by, the property is ideally situated for enjoying the sea air and watching the fun-filled activity on the beaches. Nearby Eirias Park has been developed to provide a national centre for junior international rugby with the Wales U20 playing all home games there and football, and is host to international music artists on a regular basis, so if you time your holiday carefully, you may be lucky to get tickets to a fabulous concert during your stay.
With easy access to the Snowdonia National Park, Zip World Velocity in Llanberis and Bounce Below and Zip World Titan in Blaenau Ffestiniog, as well as Surf Snowdonia in Dolgarrog, you will be spoilt for choice for things to do once you get tired of the beach. Old Colwyn is a seaside town located to the east of the larger coastal resort of Colwyn Bay. A wide promenade winds along the sweeping bay from Old Colwyn to Penrhyn Bay, with access to a long coastal cycle track, three miles of safe sandy beaches and the pier and harbour at Rhos-on-Sea. Nearby attractions include the famous Welsh Mountain Zoo, Eirias Park with its fantastic leisure facilities, a number of local golf courses, and a selection of restaurants and pubs in both Old Colwyn and Colwyn Bay.

There was 12 of us, plenty of space, children loved games room and cinema. Made wonderful memories. Lovely location and views. Would highly recommend and will definitely be going back.

The house location was ideal, with all attractions we wanted to visit, in less than 30 mins drive. House was clean and had all amenities we required, as a group of 10 with children. The best part of the stay was the games, cinema room and the view (on a clear day!). We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation and hope to come back soon again :) thanks to the great hosts!

There are a few maintenance issues with the property which is a bit disconcerting as we felt we needed to make a list in case anything came back on us. Otherwise all was great, ages in our party ranged from 4 to 81 so cinema room was well used, dining table which seats 11 easily, saw a lot of game playing and large jigsaws on the kitchen table. The garden is not really children friendly as no grass.
