About this property

The Railway Cottage is a charming coastal retreat situated in Llandudno, Conwy, just a short stroll from a shop, pub, and the beach. With off-road parking for three cars, free roadside parking, and proximity to Eryri National Park, this delightful cottage is perfect for families or groups of friends, including one well-behaved pet.

Upon entering the property, you will be greeted by a spacious open-plan area, housing a well-equipped kitchen, a dining room, and a sitting room. The kitchen is perfect for the chef of the group to prepare delicious meals, whilst the dining room offers a space to gather and enjoy these culinary delights. After dinner, retire to the sitting room, where you can relax on the inviting seating and enjoy a movie on the Smart TV, enhanced by the soundbar and warmed by the electric fire.

The ground floor also hosts two double bedrooms, both boasting en-suite facilities with walk-in showers, basins, and WCs, providing a touch of elegance and convenience. Additionally, on the first floor, you will find another double bedroom and a twin room, offering flexible sleeping arrangements for your group. A family bathroom, complete with a bath, hand-held shower, basin, and WC, serves these rooms. A cloakroom with a basin and WC completes the interior of this charming cottage.

Step outside to the rear enclosed garden, where you will find an EV charging point for eco-conscious travellers. The patio area is perfect for enjoying a morning coffee or an evening drink, while the hot tub offers a spot of indulgence under the stars.

Immerse yourself in the coastal splendour of Llandudno, where you can amble along the Victoria Pier, known to be the longest in Wales, partake in traditional seaside activities and indulge in ice cream treats. Llandudno also offers a beach, plenty of shops, pubs, and eateries, and a ski slope for those looking for an adventurous afternoon. Delve into the rich historic tapestry of the area with a visit to the impressive Conwy Castle, or connect with nature at Y Gogarth Great Orme Country Park, catering hiking routes and picnic spots aplenty. Nearby, the bustling Llandudno Promenade provides a space for leisurely strolls, and entertainment can be found at Venue Cymru, showcasing a diverse range of music, theatre and dance performances. Don't miss The Smallest House In Great Britain, an intriguing tourist spot located in Conwy, and of course, head to Llandudno Junction, where you can pick up direct trains to Cardiff and Holyhead. Further afield, explore the watersports, walking trails, and incredible views of the Eryri National Park. Make cherished memories at The Railway Cottage, your perfect Welsh holiday home-base.

Llandudno lies between two headlands, the Great Orme and the Little Orme and it is these headlands, and the town's two waterfronts, that give this tourist resort its special appeal. The town offers two superb beaches - the North Shore, with its wide promenade backed by an imposing crescent of Victorian hotels and the quieter West Shore with miles of sandy shoreline backed by sand dunes and superb views towards Anglesey. For the best views, however, you can reach the summit of the 679ft Great Orme using either the Great Orme Tramway or by taking an exciting cable car ride of over a mile. The town has an excellent selection of shops, pubs, restaurants and cafés, as well as Venue Cymru, which is North Wales' premier theatrical stage for opera, ballet, musicals, comedy and visiting orchestras, boasting a programme that is second to none - all this is just a stone's throw from the promenade. Just 4 miles away is the town of Conwy - a designated World Heritage Site. A true medieval gem, Conwy is dominated by a splendid castle and completely enclosed by its well-preserved town walls. Discover miles of sandy beaches along the North Wales coast and excellent walking and climbing in the Snowdonia National Park just 20 minutes' drive away - there's plenty to see and do!

The living room area was my favourite so comfortable and Cosy and a great place to relax , the cottage was in a great location and was about a 5 minute walk in to town ,we did have an issue with the hot tub that was the only negative really , but we did manage to use it eventually , all in all a great few days in a very modern and cosy cottage :)

The furniture and furnishings are amazing, and the beds were super comfy. As for location, it is right in the middle of Llandudno tucked behind the railway station and on the flat, making it easy to walk into the town centre to do a bit of window shopping. There are some great takeaways and restaurants within a five-minute walk (or less than a minute in the car). Hot tub was a great bonus and the cottage is surrounded by high walls, so we had complete privacy. The fire in the living room was so cosy and set a chilled-out vibe in the evenings. Kitchen was well equipped and the whole place was spotless. The beach front is an easy walk away and we strolled up the pier and then took the cable car to the Great Orme summit. The views were amazing, and we got some great photos. All in all, we couldn’t fault the place and we will definitely be booking another stay, only longer this time!
