We had an amazing stay at the lodge. Before we even arrived the owner reached out to us and was friendly and approachable and couldn't have made us more excited about our visit. We stayed over Christmas and they had put up some decorations for us which made it lovely and festive and left a few goodies to welcome us with a drink and a snack. The lodge itself is a lovely space with the most comfortable beds known to man. I think I slept better there than I would at home. We had been left some logs for the fire but given the temperature, we did nip and pick up some more to last our duration. We had anticipated the cold but if you are staying in winter, bring slippers as the original tile floors do feel a little nippy under your feet but that is an added original feature of the property. The kitchen was superbly well equipped and had everything we needed to feed ourselves including our Christmas feast. We didn't venture out too much given the festivities with small children but the town is perfect for independent shops and for some lovely food and the railway is a must of you want to see a little of the valley and scenery. We would very happily visit again and try to make a little more of the area in the future for it's picturesque views and walks. Would definitely recommend without any hesitation.

Lovely find, cute cottage in a beautiful part of the world. With Horseshoe falls nearby and Llangollen just down the road with nice local shops we had a great stay. The cottage itself was clean and cosy, perfect for a small family. The kitchen was well equipped which worked great for us eating in every night.10/10 would definitely stay again next time we're in the area.
